花缸里铁树周围长满了野草，它们会抢走养份，清理完枯叶我们决定消灭野草。我先拉住野草，姥姥用小刀把野草割下来，一棵棵野草就掉了下来，我把它们扫在一起装进畚箕倒掉。

一大早，善良的人们为了解救其他人，成群结队地出发了。他们来到小溪边，溪底的石头都可以把鸡蛋烫熟;他们来到大河边，河里的鱼虾都可以当柴烧了……他们走到一个个曾经潺潺流水的地方，全都没有了水的踪影。正在万般无奈之际，突然，一个头脑灵活的年轻人想到了一个好主意，那就是挖井找水。他的想法一说出来，立即得到了大家的拥护，不甘屈服的人们下定了决心。

他们来到那口老井边，挥锄抡镐轰轰烈烈地挖了起来。太阳丝毫不同情那些善良的人，射出的光线更加毒辣，利箭一样刺入挖井人肌肤。挖井人已经很多天没有沾一滴水了，有的倒在地上再也没有爬起来。虽然挖井人越来越少，越来越困难，但他们没有再去找人帮忙。他们知道，他们只能马不停蹄地挖，如果花时间去找人，死的人会更多。

日子一天天过去，挖井人不分昼夜地轮番挖着，井底离地面已有好几十米，但是，因挖井而累死的人也在增加，有些人看到挖了这么深的井也没有出水，丧失了信心，干脆选择了放弃。只有十几个人在挖了，个个筋疲力尽。又有人选择了放弃，只剩几个人挖了。他们挥汗如雨，气喘如牛，太阳依然煎熬着那些意志坚定的挖井人。

也不知过了多少天，功夫不负有心人，井底终于喷出了一股白花花的人柱。水柱喷到地面，散落成美丽的花朵。“出水了!出水了!”剩下的屈指可数的挖井人的欢呼声传遍了大街小巷。苟延残喘的人们像欢迎英雄似的从各自的房里爬出来拥戴挖井人。这时候，天上也下起了毛毛细雨……
