童年英文读后感

In the sun, I read this thick, “childhood”, heart suddenly a strange shame and remorse, think of themselves and the lives of a great disparity in Gorky.

Year-old death of his father, to follow the kind of grandmother came to the grandfather's home. Here, he knows many things, but also see a lot of things, he see the selfish, greedy, brutish, two uncles; simple friend “Little Gypsy”; mean, stingy, greedy, tyrannical, brutal grandfather; every day life in the cruel, stupid, infighting among family members and arguments, and from between good and evil, Alesha ignorant to understand that a number of reasons.

Compared with him together, our childhood is bright and happy; no pain and struggle, has been a carefree life. From this point on it seems we already have far cry on with Alesha, we have a lot, but we still do not know enough I just want luxury this world a better and more want.

Yes ah, we often parents do not cook, mouth open for food, only to parents for their shelter Guzhao, not herself from the “world” battles. Now we have to expect should repent, should not waste anything, and learn to cherish everything we have now will suffice.

From now on test, we must stand up and do not just want to experience difficulties with such a withdrawal, escape, or take a shortcut, should have confidence in ourselves, life always something or someone will give you pain and even despair, but we should be like what how the kind of insisted. In this way, you can again find joy in pain, in despair to find hope. Yes, dark past, the dawn will always come, as long as you still maintain the confidence that something is immortal, has all the treasure, then your light will come, because you know how to cherish.

《童年》英文读后感

Recently, I read agreat book,Childhood, which iswritten byGorky. It’s a novel based on the experiences of the author’s tragic childhood, tellingthe stories about the author between his three to ten years old. Aliocha has abad childhood. His father and mother die in his early ages, so that he has tolive with his great-grandparents. His great-grandfather is bad tempered and hisuncles hate him very much. Great-grandmother is the only person who cherishedhim. Besides, Aliocha also feel the pureness, friendship by his playmates. Throughthis book, we can see a poor, ugly society, but we also can see an adamant, compassionatelittle childwho constantly pursuits of good things in life. It’s hard to imagine howhe can stick to the faith of life in such bad environment. As for us, we live ina much better environment; of course we should cherish our happiness and bestrong to face difficulties in life.

Childhood

Walking in the charming sunset glow, hearing the fresh laughter wafting from the frolic children in distance, I can not help recalling my past life。 The rosy clouds allured my memory;what a wonderful childhood I have got。 Childhood is the most colorful time in my life for it is a memory, a mystery and a gift。

Childhood is a precious memory。I still remember that I clinged to my mother listening to her singing the rhymes for me;I still remember that I fought with my old friend desperately just for a red cheery;I still remember I burst into tears the first time I went to schooh I still remember。。。 My childhood is a memory without pressure, competition and hypocrisy。 It is the most naire and innocent period which I can not find when I grow up。The valuable memory of my childhood often glitters in my life and moistens it with great joys。 Childhood is so wonderful because it creates an unforgettable memory。

Childhood is also a charming mystery。It is like a paperplane flying in the sky。 It is like the lonely boat sailing in the sea, though they do not know where they should go, pleasant surprises await them here and there on the way。 Compared with the rigid routine life of adults, childhood was full of magic, full of fantasy。 I had the great curiosity about all the things around us children, which has been worn gradually by the adult society。Childhood offered me infinite room of imagination。 It is like a piece of white paper which I can put any color on to paint my own beautiful picture。 This picture is the most wonderful one I can ever imagine because the childhood is full of mystery。

Childhood is a valuable gift too。 The gift brought me the ability to walk on the street, to speak with others。The gift endowed me with the initial knowledge about the world。 It was in childhood I was fascinated by the story of a falling apple and Newton's discovery of gravitation。 At that time, I made my decision to devote myself to studying science well, so now I can write this composition in Fudan University。

Childhood is a gift which shows me how to become a good person and enables me to acquire various ability。 The scene that my parents told me stories like ”Kong Rong Rang Li“ ”Xuan Liang Ci Gu'often emerges in my mind。 The teachings of childhood

will influence all my life。 When I am tempted to do something bad, what I learnt in my childhood will prevent me from venturing so that I could keep a clear conscience。 Childhood was like a benignant teacher instructing me what I did not know and forgiving all my fault。 I will cherish the gift childhood gives me because it is the guidance of my life。

As a memory, childhood reminded me of the great joys in the old days。As a mystery, childhood created me a colorful thought。 As a gift, childhood flourished my whole life。 In my view, childhood is the most wonderful part of my life。

可以看出,作者尝试用大量的比喻和描写来表达真情实感,如“childhood is like a paper-plane flying in the sky,like a piece of white paper“等描写就包含诗情。但是用外语写好散文谈何容易,本文不乏词不达意之处,语言也不够精炼,有些描写也许是依据中文思维,令人费解,如The rosy clouds allured my memory和As a mystery,childhood created me a colorful thought.As a gift,childhood flourished my whole life。另外,正文部分若能增加一些具体的事实和细节,将更能打动人心。

篇5:童年回忆英文作文

I am already 18 years old, but the memory of my childhood is still like an unforgettable sweet dream.

One day, all my family went to climb a mountain. There father told my elder sister and me that the first one to get to the top of the mountain would be given a toy. Hearing this, we began to run up. At first I kept ahead, but a few minutes later my sister was ahead of me. However, I didn't give up. That toy attracted me to run forward, In the end I reached the top first.

On the top we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and had a picnic. At dusk, we went down the mountain happily. I was the happiest one, because I not only got a toy train but also knew that one shouldn't give up readily.

篇6:童年回忆英文作文

Time flies, but the memories of my childhood still like a sweet dream. When I remind of those funny things,I always wear a big smile on my face.Althought they are infantile, innocent and silly,I cherish them a lot.I know the fact that I can not experience them any more.

The first time I played roller-skating,I was excited. It was my classmate’s birthday,he invited many friends to the skati

ng rink.I wasn’t good at roller-skating.He suggested me skate by the side.then he would ask his brother who was proficient to teach me.According to his brother,I could skate freely .Finally,he organized all his friends. We put our hands on others’ shoulder. We skated like a train. All the people in the skating rink stopped to watch us.I thought they might feel our passion. and be deeply affected.

篇7:童年回忆英文作文

How time flies! Now I am a young man. Every time I open my photo album, those childish pictures of mine always remind me of the cheerful side of my childhood.

My family is not a rich one, but as I am the only child in my family, my parents love me very much. When I was a little kid, they were ready to do anything for me.

I still remember the evenings when, before going to bed, I asked my mother to tell me stories. She used to tell me fairy tales, most of which had a brave and honest boy as a hero. Having finished the story, my mother often patted me on the head gently, saying, ”My child, I hope you will be as good a boy as the hero in the story.” Now I am a student in senior two, I hope that I can live up to my mother’s expectations.

The memory of my childhood is like a sweet dream. Instead of trying going back to the happy childhood, I will try harder to make a promising future.

海上钢琴师英文读后感

I read a lot of psychological book and I learned more about people's psychological problems. So when I watch this movie, I focused a lot on the Psychology. of the actor and I was intersted in this book.

Identity is determined by genetic endowment, shaped by environment, and influenced by chance events. People are influenced by their environment and, in turn, influence their environment. He was born on this ship, never more than fit between prow and stern and the world passed me by. .He spent all his life in a boat. The environment was special, so he had a special character which was different form the other.

He never walked into the land. At a time, he decided to go to the land, but when walked in the half of the hanging ladder, he not dare to go down, and felt at lost. As he said “There were thousands of them! And how do you do it down there? How do you choose just one? One woman, one house, one piece of land to call your own, one landscape to look at, one way to die…”“All that city you just couldn’t see an end to it.”。

All his life, just facing the sea and the piano, all the land for him was an uncertainty. He did not know what to do and where to go. He could not face the real world, nothing can instead of his attachment to the ship, even the power of love. He is a person of non-normal psychology 。

From a view of psychology, infant safety and caressing environment is very important for his healthy growth. We know, when the toddler tried to walk ,only mother within the scope of his vision he dare to move forward, and he knew it was safe. Mother can give us enough sense of security.

We knew, 1900 was abandoned at birth, was born without love. There are no attachment to the object, only in the boat he felt safe. he never walked into real social and could not play his role in society, he felt at loss.

From a view of psychology. he faced a self- identity crisis, He could not recognize himself, did not find out who he was and what his strength and weakness was, not knowing, what kind of person he would be in the various world. So he just stood on the ship, repeating a bumpy journey, but dare not go into the community

How to obtain self-identity., is a major obstacle to for most college students to develop in nowadays. The self-identity is formed in response to a number of options: for example, what kind of career I want, what position I belong to in the society and so on.

Some students are going through an identity crisis and are endeavoring to find out who they are and what their strengths and weaknesses are. As a college student, we are growing in our understanding of ourselves, others , and the world in which we live. Only in this way , can we grow with a healthy psychology and make contribute to our society.

《双城记》

A Tale of Two Cities occupies a central place in the canon of Charles Dickens's works. This novel of the French Revolution was originally serialized in the author's own periodical All the Year Round. Weekly publication of chapters 1-3 of Book 1 began on April 30, 1859. In an innovative move, Dickens simultaneously released installments of the novel on a monthly basis, beginning with all of Book 1 in June and concluding with the last eight chapters of Book 3 in December. Dickens took advantage of the novel's serial publication to experiment with characterization, plot, and theme. He described the work in a letter to his friend John Forster, cited in Rudi Glancy's A Tale of Two Cities: Dickens's Revolutionary Novel, as ”a picturesque story rising in every chapter, with characters true to nature, but whom the story should express more than they should express themselves by dialogue.“ The novel that emerged from his experimentation is ()now regarded as one of Dickens's most popular and most innovative works.

Dickens's work was very popular with the reading public when it was first published. One review in the magazine Athenaeum stated that A Tale of Two Cities had attracted the praise of a hundred thousand readers. On the other hand, a whole set of critics, most notably Sir James Fitzjames Stephen writing in Saturday Review, criticized the novel precisely for its popularity. ”Most of the critics writing in the intellectual and literary journals of the day considered popular success a good reason to condemn a work,“ explains Glancy. ”If the public liked it, they certainly could not be seen to approve of it at all.“ Modern critical opinion, however, has given the novel an important place among Dickens's most mature works of fiction.

Title: The Little Prince

Author: Antoine de St-Exupery

Main Characters: The little prince, the pilot, the rose, the fox, the snake, etc.

Despite I’ve not in my childhood yet, I still prefer reading fairy-tale stories. The tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children. This summer I’ve review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940. It’s the world-famous fairy-tale by the French author, Antoine de St-Exupery, The Little Prince.

As many other fairy-tales, the outline of The Little Prince is not very complex. “I”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the Sahara. In this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the Asteroid B612. The little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. In that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids.

On his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. From these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. Following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the Sahara, on the earth.

In 1872, Phileas Fogg, an English gentleman, bets 20,000 pounds that he can travel around the world in 80 days. Remember, there were no airplanes or other types of high speed travel.

Fogg and his servant, Passepourtout, leave from London, England and travel acrofour continents on their trip. In India, they meet a beautiful princeand save her life. She joins them on the journey and falls in love with Phileas Fogg.

They are followed around the world by Detective Fix, who has mistaken Fogg for a bank robber. He causes the group lots of trouble and delays, and finally arrests Fogg on the last day of the journey.

The trip was also delayed by storms at sea, unfinished railroad tracks, and an Indian attack in the American West.

Do you think Phileas Fogg and his friends made it around the world in 80 days?

With all of the delays, the group thought they arrived back at London five minutes too late. However, the next day they discovered they were one day ahead of schedule. This was because they had travelled all the way around the world in an eastward direction, ma-ki-ng them gain an extra day as they travelled acrodifferent time zones.

雾都孤儿Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.

The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.

The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodneeventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadnefilling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishneof the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens. copyright dedecms

the resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindneand the wickedneof all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another ―― love and care.

Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply.

Mr. Brownlow is one such person.

the other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Br……

英文读后感

1.    作品1:Never give up!----Reflections on David Copperfield  作者 :王晓霞 东阳市顺风高中 高二 5班指导老师: 韦海宁        During the summer vacation, I borrowed a book called David Copperfield from the  library. I spent ten days reading it.   It is said that David Copperfield is one of the most famous masterpieces of Charles Dickens . Dickens once said: “among all my works, David Copperfield was my favorite.” The main character David Copperfield’s father died before he was born. He had a happy childhood before his ninth birthday. When he was eight, he was warmly invited to Pigsty’s house. There, he spent a free holiday and made some new friends. Actually, it was his last happy time in his childhood. When he returned home, he found that his life had completely changed. His mother had been married to Mr.Murdstone, a stern man with the coldest heart in the world. He didn’t like David at all and poor David was forced to be sent to a worst boarding school.,where students were treated violently. He had to work in the laboratory of his stepfather when he was only ten years old! His work there was dirty, tiring and boring .When David’s weak mother finally left him, he felt as if he had been an orphan in the world . It was the hardest time in David’s life but he never gave up. David ran away to his aunt for shelter, Luckily, Aunt Betsay agreed to help David and from then on, David’s darkest time ended. and begun his adventure of a new life. Through so many difficulties, David grew to be strong enough to solve problems and had his own happy ending. He fell in love with a pretty young lady, Dora, and married her Meanwhile Copperfield became a famous writer for living and also for his long-lasting dream. But then another tragedy happened--Dora died for she was too weak for a baby. Copperfield was so stricken that he decided to leave London and move to a faraway and silent place, where he continued his writing for three years. During the period, he kept in touch with Agnes, and his deep love on Agnes got clearer every day. After he finished his book, he went back to London with a clear idea of what he should do. He proposed marriage with Agnes, who was so happy for she had been in love with him for so many years. They got married and lived happily ever since. David Copperfield’ life was always tough while he was always struggling for his freedom and his happiness with his hard-bitten heart. He experienced both the dark and bright sight of the society at the same time When I finished reading it, I realized there is power rising from the bottom of my heart. The power told me that I should study hard.  No matter how hard it is ! we should never give up. we all should fight against the gray things in our life. Finally, I drew a conclusion .Firstly, I must believe in myself if I want to succeed. Secondly, trying my best to do things is also very important. If you have great dreams, but you don’t make efforts to realize it , you won’t be successful. Never give up! David has set a good example for us. Maybe we can learn something from Copperfield!(588词)     作品2:My thoughts after reading Wuthering Heights 作者:吴 超东阳市顺风高中  高二5班指导老师: 韦海宁   During the National Day, I was reading a book which was called Wuthering Heights. It was writtenbyEmily Bronte .Emily Bronte is perhaps the greatest writer of the three Bronte sisters C Charlotte, Emily and Anne. She only published only one book― Wuthering Height . It was talking about a love story which happened in Yorkshire, between two families. There are many people in the story. The first family is the Mr Earnshaw. Mr Earnshaw and Mrs. Earnshaw had two daughters---Cathering and Frances. Their son was Hingdley. Hingdley had a son who was called Harleton. They were living in the Wuthering Heights. But the second family---the Lintons were living in the Thrushcross Grange. Mr Linton and Mrs linton had a son whose name was Edgar. They also had a daughter, she was called Isabella. In 1770, Mr. Earnshaw came back from a long journey. He had brought a dirty, black-haired gipsy child. The child was called Heathcliff. As time went by, Heathcliff and Catherine were falling in love. But Hindley hated Heathcliff. He disagreed that Catherine played with Heathcliff. At last, Catherine married Edgar Linton because Edgar was rich, and she would be the most important woman for miles around. The main reason was that she can help Heathcliff with her husband ‘money. Hindley had made Heathcliff become a poor, dull farm worker. So Heathcliff hated Earnshaws , and Lintons . In 1787, Heathcliff had changed. He wore a confident, intelligent expression on his face, and his manner was no longer rough. The farm boy had become a gentleman. He had worked all his life to destroy these two families, the Earnshaws and the Lintons. He had got their money and their land. But he had lost Catherine. For something his whole body and heart and brain had wanted for so long! It’s a long fight! He wished it were finished! In 1802, Mr Heathcliff was there in bed, lying on his back. His eyes were so eagerly and fiercely, and he seemed to be smiling! He was dead! The three gravestones close to the moor Catherine’s, the middle one, is old one. On one side is Edgar Linton’s, and on the other is Heathcliff’s new one. Hindley’s son, Hareton and Catherine and Edgar’s daughter, Cathy got married. They were living happily.  The main reason for making the lover separate from is their selves .They are proud, selfish. They can’t decide their lives. As a result, love usually fails because of these reasons. In a word, I hope that everyone doesn’t start to cherish something until you have lost it. Please cherish what you have now. That’s my thought about Wuthering Heights. It’s really a good book. The story is wonderful, and the structure is also extremely excellent. The author Emily Bronte uses a series of flashbacks and time shifts draws a powerful picture of this story. Because of its wonderful story, excellent structure and graceful language, the book left a deep impression on me. I’d like to recommend it to other readers. I’m sure Readers will really gain much from this book.(548)       作品3 Impression of Great Expectatio  作者 :黄英超 东阳市顺风高中高二7班 指导老师:韦海宁     本文获东阳市读后感竞赛评比民办高中组二等奖    During the summer vacation, I read a book named Great Expectation., which was written by Charles Dickens, One of the most famous English writers.  “Great expectations” is one of Dickens’s most matures and relatively late works. And it has a great influence on the society at that time.  The novel begins with a young orphan Philip Pirrip--Pip who was brought up by his sister by hand. 《特洛伊》英文读后感

I have never been to Troy, but David Maule made me feel as if I were standing on the high wall of Troy, watching the fierce war。 Thanks to this British author, who adapted the famous Homer’s poem into a lively story, I found it easier to understand this story。

Though the story happened over 3000 years ago in a remote place, I was deeply fascinated by it。 The mysterious plot is one of the reasons why I loved The Story of Troy so much, yet I am more interested in the human heroes of the war。

Hector was the eldest son of king of Troy, Priam。 He was not only a real hero of Trojan, but was regarded the highest moral hero in Greek classic by later historians。

The war started because of the mischief of his brother, Paris, whom he didn’t appreciate。 However, since Hector was the mander of the Trojan army, he was obliged to fight with all force。 It was really a tragedy that such a valiant man died in the duel with another great warrior, Achilles。

It is natural to see death in a war。 As a famous Chinese parable says, “A life can be as slight as a piece of feather, or as weighty as Mount Tai。” Sometimes, one’s glory walks hand in hand with one’s doom。 Achilles was such a typical person。 His personal charm made The Story of Troy more attractive。

He was so crucial because his every appearance in a war encouraged his fellow soldiers and terrified the enemies。 Actually, Achilles was half-god who was almost invincible in people’s mind。 That’s why his name was memorized long after his death。

Besides the two great men, the wisdom of Odysseus also proved him to be a great hero。 He didn’t want to attend the war because he was happily married and had a lovely son。 However, since his country was allied to Mycenae, he had to take the mand given by the king of Mycenae。

I’m quite sure that the story of the wooden horse is widely known, however, few people know who thought of the brilliant idea, that’s why I admired Odysseus so much because he was the person who got the idea。 Thanks to the horse, the ten-year war came to an end at last。 If you want to know how the wooden horse worked, just read the book。

The ancient Greeks believed that the gods and goddesses also played important roles in the origin, process and ending of the whole story。

The story of the golden apple was such an example。

When Eris, the goddess of argument and disagreement, threw out the golden apple to a wedding ceremony on Mount Olympus, a dispute happened。 Hera, the queen of gods, Athena, the goddess of wisdom, and Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, were all involved in the argument for the apple。

None of them was willing to give way, so they turned to Paris for a final judgment。 Tempted by Aphrodite’s beauty and promise, Paris handed the apple to her。 To keep her word, Aphrodite helped him to get Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world, as his wife。 That was the cause of the war。

Paris’s choice obviously annoyed the other two goddesses。 So during the war, they helped the Greek alliance army while some other gods, such as Apollo and Aphrodite, guarded Troy。

When Paris dueled with Helen’s former husband Menelaus, Aphrodite saved Paris when he was about to be finished off。

After the duel between those two people, there was a truce between the Greek alliance and Troy。 However, both Hera and Athena were not happy to see it。

Hera pursued her husband ZEUS:“ Now, will you send Athena to make the Troyjans break the peace?”(Page 22) Then with Zeus’s permission, Athena went down to start the war again and finally she brought the Greeks to success。

From the whole story, we can see that in ancient Greeks’ view, gods sometimes played a much more important role in their life。 However, with the rapid development of science, we have learned that the Greek gods never existed。 This is why a recent movie of Troy has not mentioned a single god。

Everything happened due to men’s ambition, love, loyalty or jealousy。 With those emotion and people’s effort, we human beings can acplish wonders and be master of the world。

God are of less importance than they used to be。 Nonetheless, the gods and goddesses made The Story of Troy more mysterious and marvelous。

I have learnt from the book more than the wonderful story of history, love and war。 I believe that human can determine their destiny by their own。 I highly remend this book to my friends with the same interest。

《三国演义》英文读后感

Recently I have read a famous Chinese classical novel-The romance of the Three Kingdoms and I felt benefit a lot。 Let me tell you about my feelings。

The romance of the Three Kingdoms is one of the four great Chinese master pieces。 It was written by Luo Guanzhong, who was born in 1330。 It describes nearly 200 characters and tells the story from the late Eastern Han dynasty to the unified of Jin dynasty。

The minute I started to read this book, I was deeply impressed by the sentence at the beginning of the novel: “The empire, long divided, must unite; long united, must divide。” It is so philosophical。 It reflected the main history of the Three Kingdoms, from the rebellion of the Yellow Turbans to the replacement of the division of the country into Three Kingdoms (Wei, Shu and Wu) by the Jin Dynasty。 In these periods, it showed a lot of heroic deeds, and what the heroes did had made a brilliant history。 In this novel, the hero I admire mostly is Guan Yu, the general of Shu。

“A man of enormous height, nine spans tall, with a two-foot-long beard flowing from his rich, ruddy cheeks。 He had glistening lips, eyes sweeping sharply back like those of the crimson-faced phoenix, and brows like nestling silkworms。 His stature was imposing, his bearing awesome。” This is Guan Yu's appearance。 He was called as hero not only because of his handsome looking, but because of his precious characters。

He is the embodiment of loyalty, wisdom and bravery。 Once, when Guan Yu was having a battle with Cao Cao (the Master of Wei), he lost connection with Liu Bei(the Master of Shu), and finally he had to surrender because Liu Bei's family was with him。 Cao Cao appreciated Guan Yu's talents, he provided a fabulous palace and lots of money to Guan Yu。 Despite Guan Yu was taken good care of in the Cao Cao’s camp, but his heart was still with the Liu Bei’s camp。 He had never given up looking for his master。 As soon as he got the news of Liu Bei, Guan Yu had forced five passes and slew six captains, finally he found his master。 His behavior showed not only his loyalty to his master but also his bravery。

Admittedly, Guan Yu's death is also a lamentable。 Because of his placency, he looked down on the army of Wu, lost Jingzhou (an important City), finally, he flopped, and was killed by his personal enemy。

With his personal likes and dislikes, regardless of the consequences, it led to the disruption of the alliance between Wu and Shu, the whole situation was changed greatly。

Guan Yu’s lesson tells us: No matter how talented you are, you’d better remain modest and be humble。

This is a great novel that depicts the countless legendary stories。 We can learn not only the characters of the heroes, but also the political and military strategies。 It is a best way to experience the profound Chinese ancient culture。

小王子英文读后感《A Book that Impacted Me Most》

I don’t remember the exact year I first read The Little Prince 。 Though the golden snake in the book plays a cameo role , I never forget the scene that he flashed kissed gently on the little prince’s ankle。 It made me be afraid to reread this book。

Later, I listened a Michael Wong’s song named Fairy-tale Story, the prince in his song is different from the prince in The Little Prince, the prince in the song is the same as Andersen’s tales’ princes, they all have happy endings。

However, I think The Little Prince is a sad story。 There is a saying: There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand peoples eyes。 Now, let me talk about my reading feeling。 This simple story flies over every corner of the world: a pilot (the narrator) who had an accident with his plane and crashed in the Desert of Sahara then he met the little prince from the planet B-612, and the narrator listened little prince’s travel experience of seven planets。 On the seven planets, he met a variety of persons。 They are the king, the conceited man, the businessman, the tippler, the lamplighter, the geographer and so on。

The Little Prince is a story belongs to adults who have childlike innocence。because children don’t understand the little prince’s deep sadness。This is not so much a fairy tale, as it is a tragedy。 This story tells the grow-ups’ world is full of empty, lost and loneliness with kids’ perspective。 Among the story, the alcoholic is impressive。 He was surrounded by a pile of beer bottles when the little prince saw him, and prince asked him why he is drinking, but he answered he want to forget his shame of drinking。 This short planet visit plunged little prince into deep puzzled。 He think the grow-ups are certainly very, very odd。 In kids' eyes, beautiful things must look with heart。 But the adults pay more attention on things’ appearance that is just a shell and they don’t believe the eyes are blind and the heart is true。

Through this story, it also made me understand what’s the love---love's more mineral, more dense, more bitter and more weighty than the earth's profoundest matter。

When I first read The Little Prince, I can’t understand the mean of love and never to think why should the little prince leave alone since he love his rose so deeply。 For years, I reread the story and think about it。 The simple true was first love。 The little prince didn’t know how to love and It was difficult to make him understand the rose’s heart, so it may lead to misunderstanding and hurts from time to time。 He leaved his planet because he can not accept the rose and himself。

This is why the little prince don’t know he have to leave : at that time, he had no idea he was in it。 The little prince don’t understand the meaning of tame until he met the fox later。 Then he produced the endless yearning for the roses and realized his responsibility。

“Do you want to be domesticated?” For me, this is a profound question。 In the book, the little prince met a fox and invited the fox to play with him, but he was refused。 The fox told him that he was not tamed。 “what does that mean--tame?” little prince asked。 The fox answered:” it means to establish ties: to me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys。 And I have no need of you。 And you, on your part, have no need of me。 To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes。 But if you tame me, then we shall need each other。 To me , you will be unique in all the world。 To you, I shall be unique in all the world。”

Gradually the little prince was beginning to understand, because he remembered his rose and he thought his rose had tamed him。 So he chose to go back to his planet in the end。 But to the fox, the little prince’s farewell will make her sad, but the hurts because of love, she should learn to accept it gradually。 I believe there are full of hurts within serious and true love。

As long as the little prince flied to different planets and met a variety of persons can he understand himself andhis rose。 So I think traveling is a good way to experience life。

力与户外英文读后感

I have got a lot of interesting scientific knowledge from the books of National Geographic Reading Expeditions, some of which are about life, physics。 I really can’t help losing myself in the colorful pictures and clear words in the books。 After reading the books, I have been considering a question: What if we lived without science? Great changes have taken place in the world with the help of science。 In the past, life was nasty, brutish and short。 It is hard to imagine how our forefathers could do without so many conveniences that modern science brings about。 Back then, only a small group of people enjoyed the very few forts。 But the majority of people didn’t even have sufficient food, let along their privilege to be educated。 Anyway, it is science that changes the world and makes people’s life better and better, although it also leads to some bad aspects at the same time。

From the discovery of the gravity to the first step on the moon, we human beings have experienced a long process of developing science。 And now, this process is still continuing much faster。 New organisms are already being engineered, and new genetically modified crops promise benefits from higher yields and less use of harmful chemicals and so on。 A lot of examples are showing this point。 In the future, changes are likely to be even much greater as science reaches out to shape life itself。 Maybe one day, the possibility that life existed on Mars billions of years ago will be potentially one of the greatest discoveries of our time。 It is the force of the petition, we human beings’ inquiring mind and initiative that bring about the non-stopped development of science。 Therefore, it is difficult and impossible to prevent science from changing the world and our life as well。

At present, we are in two minds about science。 On the one hand, we are enjoying the sweet life as a result of the evelopment of science, and expect it to continue。 And we are showing our interests into some scientific expeditions, such as the astronomy, the alien civilization, etc。 On the other hand, we are distrustful of it, due to the lack of understanding of science。 Some people thus far are still very superstitious, and they would even believe in superstitions rather than believe in science。

Stephen Hawking, one of the most remarkable scientists in the world, once said, “In a democratic society, the public needs to have a basic understanding of the science, so that it can make informed decisions and not leave them in the hands of experts。” This has reminded me of Professor Alan G。 MacDiarmid from America, the person who got the Nobel Prize for chemistry in the year of XX。 In his lecture at Peking University this year, he put forward that science is people。 He also expounded the importance of the basic science for the public。 Evidently, every one of us does need science, or we can’t live without it。

Now that everyone needs science, why not take advantage of some means to give the public the right basic scientific knowledge? So when they face the problems such as acid rain, the greenhouse effect, nuclear weapons, environment destruction and some other problems, they can also make informed decisions on these subjects, just as what Hawking said。 One aspect relies on what is taught in schools。 But science is often taught in an uninteresting way and most students just learn it by rote to pass examinations。 However, the final goal of learning science is not to pass examinations or to get a higher score; instead, we should try to make full use of it to change our world and life。 While learning, we should try to ask more questions and we should have the courage of suspecting the knowledge in the books, as some of the scientific conclusions are likely to be corrected in the future。 Who knows。 So not only must we change our attitude towards science, but also the way of teaching and learning scienc

e。

In addition, science is always changing at a fast rate, and who we learn at school isn’t that sufficient to last a lifetime。 So the mass media including TV, radio, newspaper, magazine and publishing pany will play an important role in reporting the latest science in time。 Moreover, the mass media can also popularize basic science to the public, because only in this way will more people realize what on earth science is。

“Scientists and engineers tend to express their ideas in the form of equations because they need to know the precise values of quantities。 But for the rest of us, a qualitative grasp of scientific concepts is sufficient, and this can be conveyed by words and diagrams, without the use of equations”, said Stephen Hawking。

I agree with him very much, and, I’m fond of the wonderful words above, from Stephen Hawking。

For the development of science, are you ready?

哈利波特英文读后感

I've just fininshed reading the first 4 Harry Potter books for about the 5th time through, and they're just as magical and affecting as they have ever been。 Everything is in here: suspense, adventure, mystery, humour, danger。 There's even some pretty satisfying paybacks。 The characters are fantastic and fantastically realistic。 There are bad people who turn out to be good guys and good people who turn out to be bad guys, just like life。

I think the thing I like best about these books is the message that it's okay to be different - to be not “normal。” I would love for everyone in school to have hear that message。 It would probably reduce the bullying around the school。

These books value real thoughts。 Much has been made of Harry's rule breaking, but only once in the series so far does he break a rule for arbitrary personal gain。 Most of the time he makes a decision that what's right is more important than what's written。 And you know what? Life's like that sometimes。 I think it's great that kids are getting an example of how to do what's right even when it involves breaking rules。 The Potter books also show that there are consequences for rule breaking。 If not getting caught and getting a detention, then a spell going wrong and someone getting turned into a cat。 This shows that when you make a decision to go against the rules that things may not go as you expected and you have to take responsibility for the oute。

A Book of All Times

——Thoughts given by Sherlock Holmes and the Duke’s Son

Written in the first chapter of the book Pride and Prejudice is an extraordinary sentence of which even a person who has had only a brief look upon the book will not fail to receive a deep impression-It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife。 In terms of Sherlock Holmes, we’d better alter the sentence into “It is a fact universally accepted by readers throughout the world that an excellent book in possession of our famous detective Sherlock Holmes is undoubtedly a masterpiece of all times。” Perhaps this is one of the most obvious explanations for the unrivaled popularity of “Holmes series” in the field of detective stories。 Overwhelmed by the remendations provided by my friends, I decided to take a look on this Sherlock Holmes and the Duke’s Son originally published by Oxford University Press。

As a whole, this book is about a case concerning the Duke’s missing son。 Arthur, the Duke’s son, was found out in a certain morning to have disappeared, acpanied with which was also the disappearance of the German teacher。 The school master Dr。 Huxtable then turned to the famous detective of the time Sherlock Holmes for help。 Realizing how tough and important the case is, Holmes immediately made up his mind to accept the case and followed Dr。 Huxtable back to Mackleton by train。 Having formed a rough idea about the whole matter, Holmes probed into the case immediately and had a careful investigation of the entire area shortly after the arrival, during the process of which he discovered the body of the German teacher Heidegger。 Finally, primarily due to his prominent ability as a detective, he managed to unravel the mystery and obtained the twelve thousand pounds promised by the Duke。

Having once started reading this fiction, I was pletely immersed in the mysterious story presented by the book。 As the saying goes, “Well begun, half done”。 At the beginning of the story, just like many other detective stories, the author gives us a brief description of the condition by the words of a client。 However, unlike other ones, this story first delineates the client’s strange behavior at length to indicate the severity of the incident in order to attract the readers to continue reading it。 As is known to all, vivid depiction is essential to detective stories since it can help the readers understand each figure’s characteristics and visualize the scenes, thus making the story more authentic and attractive。 Therefore, trying to present a “real world” to his readership, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the original “Holmes series”, has skillfully arranged the plots of the whole story from the perspective of Dr。 Watson, a character not so specialized in discovering the truth

hidde

n behind the enigmatic happenings as Holmes but so loyal to Sherlock Homes as a friend that he always acpanies Holmes wherever he goes。 In this way, he elaborately depicted every scene and character in the book, Apart from the special start, the ending of the whole story, being dramatic but reasonable, is certainly an outstanding one。 After all, except the author himself, who knows that the Duke’s seemingly ordinary secretary is in fact the Duke’s bastard? In addition, who knows that the Duke actually has already been acquainted with the whole thing before Holmes solves this plicated problem? Yet, surprising as it is, this ending seems so natural that it fits all the plots of the story perfectly well。 While enjoying this wonderful story, I could do nothing but admire the wonderful design of this masterpiece as well as the author’s gorgeous writing skill。 Closing my eyes, I can even “see” the story happening just like watching a film。 Not until then did I understand why the Japanese carto

on fi

lm Detective Conan used this “Conan” as the name of its hero。

As far as I am concerned, nothing is more admirable and surprising in the hero Sherlock Homes than his profound knowledge which has certainly assisted him a lot when he was studying the case。 Take the bicycle tyres for instance, Holmes actually is capable of recognizing 42 different varieties of bicycle tyres。 What’s more, according to his other stories, Holmes has studied different kinds of newspapers, cigarettes, people’s footprints and other special things as well。 Therefore, he seems to have the mastery of anything relevant to the cases he deals with。 Except for his illimitable knowledge, Holmes also specializes in arranging the facts in order and then finding the fact leading him to a GREat discovery or even the truth itself。 From his speaking “Every mystery has an answer”, we can readily shape the impression of a man with great intelligence and inflexible will。 In this case, after getting rid of unrelated facts, Sherlock Homes eventually grasped the clue and discovered the amazing f

act。

Needless to say, as a world-renowned masterpiece, Sherlock Holmes and the Duke’s Son has attracted and is still charming numerous readers from all corners of the world and people from all walks of life。 The “Holmes series” has already set up a standard against which all the following detective fictions are measured。 Sherlock Holmes, beyond all doubt, has bee a name firmly rooted in people’s memories。 Although Dr。 Watson’s closing The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes in 1927 was a GREat pity to the readers, the discontinuance of the entire “Holmes series” may have actually added to the legendary stature of Sherlock Holmes。

《麦田的守望着》英文读后感

I have never thought so thin a book which is called The Catcher in the Rye can influence me so much。 It makes me feel very impressive。 And after reading this book, I have aroused many thoughts about it。

In today's literature world, The Catcher in the Rye is to be recognized as a modern classic。 After reading this book, adults can increase the understanding of teenagers; young people can increase the understanding of their future life。 No matter whom after reading this book will improve their ability about to be vigilant against the reality。 It also can make you choose one self-reliance way to your future easily。

This book told us a profound significance story。 The of this novel Holden hated all the hypocritical things and really wanted to pursuit the pure reality at first。 Because of the development of his society, he finally submits to the development process of the social reality。 It deeply show the loneliness, loss, pain of younger generation which is grow up after the World War II in U。S。

Well, I think that though Holden used to seeing the reality of Bourgeois society, and he must promise with realistic society in the end, he also have many courage to have a try to rebel against the hypocritical world。 This spirit should be set up if we want to improve the process of the world。

Now, we live in a country, which is in great reformation, and everything in the process of changing development。 Well, with the development of our country; people's thought also is in the change。 At the same time, many people's thoughts start confusion and depression。 They forgotten their initial dreams and have no enthusiasm gradually。 So, in the end, they began to yearn for mediocrity and have nothing to do。

Perhaps we can learn from this book to find our own shadow。 To a certain extent that it reflects many characteristics of the adolescents, and we can also see the dark side of the society。 With the material's progress, the spiritual world is inevitably producing some changes。 At that time, what we need is a change which can make our dream into a reality。 Therefore, what we should do is not to hope, not to wait, not to plain, but from now on, just start from your own efforts and watch your initial dream。 You'd try your best to create the life you want with your own hands。
