大学英语四级考试，英文全称College English Test Band 4，简称CET4。作为一项全国性的教学考试，由“国家教育部高教司”主办。
时间：全国大学英语四级考试每年举行两次，6月、12月各一次；
题型：分为主观题和客观题，题型包括选择、填空、改错、翻译和写作
内容：考试包括五个部分：听力理解(Listening Comprehension)；阅读理解(Reading Comprehension)；完型填空或改错(Cloze or Error Correction)；写作和翻译(Writing and Translation)。
听力理解部分分值比例为35%；其中听力对话15%，听力短文20%。听力对话部分包括对话和长对话的听力理解；听力短文部分包括选择题型的短文理解和复合式听写。

2.同等程度的大专生或硕士研究生经所在学校同意，可在本校报名参加考试；

4.凡已取得凡已取得CET-4合格证书者不能再参加CET-4考试。但参加过CET-4考试未及格者，可以再次报名参加考试；
5.1987年后毕业需要补考的大学本科毕业生。
本校已设考点的在校学生不得跨校参加考试，一经查出，取消考试成绩；
注：社会考生必须至少持有大专文凭方可报考，没有通过四级考试不能报考六级。
(二)考生注意事项
考生在报名时，须交一寸近期免冠照片一张。参加考试时，一律要携带身份证和考点发放的准考证，否则，不得进入考场。
