1、某句话的作业
阅读提里面经常会给出一句话,让我们分析这句话的作用,其实桌这种题是有套路的,只要你掌握住套路,那么就会很轻松。首先我们要分析它的修辞作业,比喻、拟人生动形象写出了 + 对象+特征等。还要分析这句话在文章的作用,比如在开头、就有可能是开门见山、总领全文、埋下伏笔等等。最后还要分析这句话表达作者的情感。这三方面入手就能做好句子赏析题了。
2、做题步骤
我们可以先看题目,了解题目的问的是什么,然后带着问题去看文章,从文章中找寻问题的答案。我们还要看题目,因为题目就是浓缩的惊呼,就是主题,还有我们可以通过每一段的中心句,来快速理解文章的主体意思,这样更能见到快速的整理文章的脉络。
3、确定答案范围然后精读
我们带着问题去看文章其实是能大概锁定答案的范围的,锁定在哪一段中,然后通过精读,来加深我们理解文章以及答案,还有答题的时候最好要简洁明了,过多的废话就不要写了。

2.关于标题型
Example 2 :
A rapid means of long-distance transportation became a necessity for the United States as settlement(新拓居地 ) spread ever farther westward. The early trains were impractical curiosities, and for a long time the railroad companies met with troublesome mechanical problems. The most serious ones were the construction of rails able to bear the load, and the development of a safe, effective stopping system. Once these were solved, the railroad was established as the best means of land transportation. By 1860 there were thousands of miles of railroads crossing the eastern mountain ranges and reaching westward to the Mississippi. There were also regional southern and western lines .
The high point in railroad building came with the construction of the first transcontinental system. In 1862 congress authorized two western railroad companies to build lines from Nebraska west-ward and from California eastward to a meeting point, so as to complete a transcontinental crossing linking the Atlantic seaboard with the Pacific .The Government helped the railroads generously with money and land . Actual work on this project began four years later. The Central Pacific Company, starting from California, used Chinese labor, while the Union Pacific employed crews of Irish laborers. The two groups worked at remarkable speed, each trying to cover a greater distance than the other. In l869 they met at a place called Promontory in what is now the state of Utah. Many visitors came there for the great occasion. There were joyous celebrations all the country, with parades and the ringing of church bells to honor the great achievement.
The railroad was very important in encouraging westward movement. It also helped build up industry and farming by moving raw materials and by distributing products rapidly to distant markets. In linking towns and people to one another it helped unify the United States.

一、根据上下文解释进行猜测
有时短文中出现一个需要猜测其意义的词或短语,下面接着出现其定义或解释,这就是判断该词或短语意义的主要依据。如:

二、根据上下文的指代关系进行猜测
文章中的代词it, that, he, him或them可以指上文提到的人或物,其中it和that还可以指一件事。有时代词指代的对象相隔较远,需要认真查找;有时也需要对前面提到的内容进行总结,才能找出代词所指代的事物。如:

2. (NMET2002, D篇) 67. the underlined word“them”(paragraph 1) refers to _______.
A. red herrings B. treasure hunts

文中提到…but Williams put in a lot of“red herrings”, or false clues, to mislead them.意思是作者在书中用一些假线索误导他们,显然,他们(them)就是指书的读者,故答案为D。
三、根据因果关系进行猜测
根据原因可以预测结果,根据结果也可以找出原因。如:
Biggest power failure in the city’s history…All of our ice-cream and frozen foods melted.后一句承接前一句,前一句的原因导致后一句的结果。根据因果关系,停电很可能导致冰淇淋和冷冻食品融化,所以melted的词义应为“融化”。
四、根据转折或对比关系进行猜测
根据上下句的连接词,如but, however, otherwise等就可以看到前后句在意义上的差别,从而根据某一句的含义,来确定另一句的含义。另外,分号也可以表示转折、对比等意义。如:

A. a party designed by specialists
B. a plan requiring careful thought
C. a situation causing difficulty or trouble

通过上下句,A child’s birthday party doesn’t have to be a hassle; it can be a basket of fun…可以看出,hassle和a basket of fun肯定是近乎相反的意义。所以不难判断,答案为C。
五、根据同位关系进行猜测
阅读中出现一些难词,有时后面就是一个同位语,对前面的词进行解释,这种解释有时也用or连接。如:
1.(NMET2001, D篇)…and other Germanic and Nordic peoples, who spoke what we now call Anglo-Saxon (or Old English),a Germanic language.
Anglo-Saxon也就是古英语(Q吧)(Old English),是日耳曼语(a Germanic language)的一种。
2. (NMET2002, A篇) the“Chunnel”, a tunnel(隧道) connecting England and France, is now complete.此句中a tunnel是Chunnel的同位语。因此,The“Chunnel”就是英法之间的海底隧道。
六、根据构词法(转化、合成、派生等)进行猜测
在英语中,有很多词可以在前面加前缀,在后面加后缀,从而构成一个词,乍看起来,这个词可能是生词,但掌握了一定的构词法知识,就不难猜出它的词义。如:
1.(NMET2002, B篇) Market research shows that Gold and others who buy organic food can generally give clear reasons for their preferences―but their knowledge of organic food is far from complete.
我们知道,prefer的意思是“宁愿、愿意、喜爱”,根据上下文可以判断prefer的名词形式preference的含义应是“偏爱、爱好”。
2.(NMET2002, E篇)“Our parties are aimed for children 2 to 10,”Anaclerio said,“and they’re very interactive(互动)and creative in that they build a sense of drama based on a subject…”
文中interactive是由前缀inter-(相互的)和active(活动的、活跃的)而构成的,即使文中不给出其含义,根据上下文的意思也可以判断,该词的含义应是“互动的”。
七、根据生活常识猜测词义
In old days, when girls from rich families were married to their husbands, they expected to bring with themselves a large quantity of dowry.

四级考试阅读理解技巧 -怎样准确找出文章的中心思想(一)
四级阅读测试一般包括4篇文章的阅读,每篇后有5道选择题。这些的类型多种多样,但归纳起来大致可分为二大类,即全域型问题(Global Question)和局域型问题(Local Question ). Local Question一般涉及三方面内容:Subject Matter, Attitude/Tone;Local Question 涉及:Supporting Details,Inference,Vocabulary.以下,我们将针对四级考试的特点、出题范畴、出题方式等,根据这些问题在考试出题中的大致排列顺序,进行有步骤、有计划的分项应试技能训练。
关于主题思想问题(Subject Matter)
Subject Matter(SM中心思想)是作者在文章中要表达的`的主要内容,是贯穿全文的核心。作者在文章中努力通过各种Supporting Details来阐明中心议题。因此,把握主要思想对于全文理解具有重要意义。熟悉四级测试的人都知道,这类问题常被列为5题之首。然而,如何找出主题常使考生倍感棘手。因为他们总希望通过某个词或某句话就能找到答案,而找主题往往需要通读全文后才能作出判断。
针对SM问题,应采用快速阅读法(Skimming)浏览全文,理解文章主旨大意,阅读时要注意:抓住中心思想的句子在文章中的位置不同,但阅读时,文章的开头、结尾及段落的段首句和段尾句特别重要,因为他们往往名包含文章的中心议题(SM)。
根据内容的不同,这类问题可分为主题型、标题型和目的型 。主题型一目了然就是找中心(Main Idea);标题型是为文章选择标题(Title);目的型就是推断作者的写作意图(Purpose).这类题常见的命题方式有:

(2) What does this passage mainly (primarily)concerned ?
(3) The main theme of this passage is ___________.

紧紧抓住文中的一些带有提示性的词语,如“因此”“所以”“但是”“尤其”;或概括总结性的较理性的词语,如思想、意识、现实主义、浪漫气息、奥秘、象征等。来具体推断其理性内涵和层次含义。打破现代文阅读的神秘感,要有“答案都在原文中”的观点。多答。因为现代文阅读字数逐渐放开,那么多答一点,就会多得分。况且答多了也不扣分。多答要注意两点:(1)分条列出,概括作答,一般分数多的题,答案要与分数一致,即6分题。答3个小点即可。(2)答案不要重复或从反面去说,正面作答即可,不要用形象或描写的语言。
现代文阅读的核心是“概括”内容,这一点解决的办法。就是在阅读的段落内,以句号为单位,每一句概括一个意思,分条列出,不要被有些题目的“意思”“作用”“好处”所迷惑。谈“作用”“好处”“意义”,也要依托内容去淡,不可简单地说“强化了主题,深化了中心,增强了效果,十分生动形象”等词语,就应付了事。答案书写虽不赋分,也要认真。一般阅卷老师不会仔细琢磨你的答案,只有让他们速读时一目了然,才不至于丢失冤枉分。答案要做到每一句都有依据,有出处,万不可凭想当然,率性而为。
语文阅读题答题注意审题
1.题目要求是什么:正确还是不正确的项。找正确项,须用排除法;找错误项,运用重点突破法;
2.提示方面:题干中有些词语经常出现,分为三类:
A.“解释”“理解”——表明命题者在考查学生对文章内容的理解,错因应注意“内容方面”和“程度差异”;
B.“推测”“分析”——考查对文章延伸意义的理解,错因常在“程度差异”与“逻辑错误”;
C.“原因”“证据”——考查对文章逻辑关系的理解,错因与B类同。
